We all have things we want to accomplish this year and I have a lot that I want to get into. One of the ways I felt will help me get inspired to complete my goals was by creating a vision board.
A vision board usually consist of visuals that are supposed to inspire and remind you what your goals are without the pressure of having to do them immediately and quickly. I find that vision boards allow me to take a goal, work towards it a little then sit back down again without feeling as if i’m a complete failure.
The whole point is to work towards your goals not necessarily complete them because completing them is the bonus.
With that being said, I decided to share the top 5 things on my vision board.
#1- Going Outdoors
I want to spending time outside doing activities such as taking my dog on a walk, going to park with my niece, or doing some activity that is out side of my home. I spend most of my days inside watching YouTube, reading, or dancing. I feel like there’s so much to do outside and Sometimes It’s hard for me to get up and go. And When I do go out I send most of my time at work. Mainly because my anxiety goes through the roof just thinking about socializing more than necessary. It’s probably why I like going out early in the morning when most people are sleeping in. Any way that is one of my goals and I also challenge you to get outside more, if you don’t already.
#2- Learn a New Skill
Picking up a new skill is always something I’m interested in doing. But there are two that I really want to do the most.The first one is dancing and the other is playing the guitar. I have always loved music and anything that comes with that. I have been dancing since I was really little but never took any dance classes and really regret not doing that. I don’t know if I’m any good but I would like to learn some choreographed pieces. I used to want to be a singer songwriter and always thought I’d have to learn to play an instrument and for me that instrument was guitar. I just find the guitar to be so cool and relaxing. Ps. I took both a piano and guitar class while in school and found that piano was a lot easier for me. This is something that I really want to do this year and I can’t wait to try it.
Getting toned and cutting out bad foods is by far going to be the hardest. This requires a lot of mental strength more than anything and I just know this will be the hardest to attempt. with that being said I want it and I am going to work hard to make sure that I am on the my way to getting where I want to be. And I will share my fitness journey with you all.
#4- Fashion and Hair
I want to explore fashion and really focus on wearing clothes that I feel comfortable in as well that express the way that I feel. I’ve spent most of my life being really insecure being myself around others and fashion has always been something I held back from. I always felt my style attracted attention and when I was younger I did everything to avoid attention. Now I’m 20 years old and just want to live my life no matter what attention I attract.
Blogging full time is a huge goal I want to accomplish. I actually do like blogging. I like the idea of creating something and then putting it out there for the world to see. I want to work hard at this and be more consistent with it. Consistency is something I struggle with all the time and is probably one of my biggest flaws. I plan on attacking this goal full on this year and I really excited about it.
